Printing Problems

Many students have been seeing strange gray boxes come up on the screen when they click on the "Print" icon in Microsoft Office, especially in Word 2003. This is a network glitch, not a printer issue. If this happens to you, follow these steps:

• Save the document.
• Close all files and programs.
• Log off computer.
• Log back on.
• Open Word or Excel 2007 rather than 2003.
• Double Click on the colored button in the upper left hand corner to find the Open command.
• Open the desired file.
• Double click the colored button again and find “Print.”
• Double click Print.
• Hear the satisfying sound of your paper being printed. 

Product Knowledge

The Admissions Department at King's College is a hardworking team of dedicated professionals who do a great job of getting out the word about King's College. Once each year they devote two days to hearing presentations from faculty so they will have up-to-date knowledge about each program of study offered at the school.

The theme for this year's Product Knowledge event was "A Winning Team."

Misty Wall, head of Business Communications, describes the content and value of English courses at King's.

Johnnie Nixon, Program Manager for Office Administration, has a panel of her star students give a presentation to an appreciative audience.

Legal Students Domestic Violence Project

The legal students did a multi-dimensional project on domestic violence which included research, script writing, and production of a video, in which the class served as actors. A special program, with the showing of the video, was presented in the student lounge on May 6th.

The students worked hard, decorating the lounge and setting up a lovely refreshment table.

Ms. Brooks introduces the video.

The appreciative audience included faculty, staff and students.

Meet the "Green Team!"

Chris Smith and Megan Conner have assumed responsibility for seeing that the blue paper recycling bins on campus are emptied regularly. They are doing a super job and making a great contribution to the school and to our environment. Other members of Legal Enterprise help out from time to time.

THANK YOU, CHRIS and MEGAN, for all your hard work, and thanks to all the Legal Enterprise Club for supporting a greener earth.

Kudos to the New Recycling Team!

Since January of this year, the Legal Enterprise Club has taken responsibility for emptying the recycling bins in the classrooms and offices of King's College. They are doing a great job of emptying the bins on a regular basis and keeping everything neat. Shown here are the club members that have so far been captured on camera. Eventually we should have a complete gallery of all participating members.

Medical Advisory Board Meeting

On May 10th the Medical Assisting Department at King's College hosted a meeting of its Medical Advisory Board. This board is made up largely of Charlotte area healthcare professionals who provide feedback on the performance of our medical assisting students during their externships. The input and guidance of the Board is invaluable in making sure our curriculum is geared to the needs of the healtcare community.

It was a pleasure to have these dedicated professionals on our campus. Here are some informal shots of the occasion.
